Thought-Provoking Question of the Week~Love

Here is the thought-provoking question of the week: What does love mean to you?

The word “love” has many connotations.  It can bring up good memories or bad ones.  It can make your heart swell in such joy or it can provoke such extreme pain that your heart has ever experienced.  It isn’t just romantic love, even though I am a hopeful (I don’t like the word hopeless) romantic.  And for some people it is really, really hard to just say the word to another person.  And it doesn’t even need to be your spouse.  Some people have a hard time saying it to their children.  Then you run into the person whose heart is open so wide that the word “love” is in their daily vocabulary and it is directed to sentient beings mostly.

So what does the word “love” mean to you?  Are you afraid to say it to some people?  Are you open to saying it at all?  When do you say it?

This reminds me of a song that John Denver sang with Placido Domingo called “Perhaps Love”.  Here is a link to the song.  Check it out!!!
